Compost

In my garden, I zip-tied three pallets together.  Inside, I scrape the chicken coop poop boards and cut up the  green plants and weeds.  I say a prayer thanking the Lord for the tomatoes and pepper plants that were abundant last summer, and then cut them up and put them into the compost pile.

On top, I pile brown mulch until the greens and chicken poop is covered by a pile of wood mulch.

After dinner, I take the scraps from the kitchen and let the chickens pick through anything they want to eat.  After the day is done and the sun is setting, I take that pile of waste and put it onto of the compost pile.  Then, I cover it with the brown wood mulch.
