We have had several days of steady rain and the land is saturated with water. Standing pools in several places, including one boggy pool in the annual garden area. The spot is located on the south side in the center of the fence.
There is also a pool formed to the SE side of the garden. This could be an area of development for pond water storage. It would not take much energy to pump water from that site into the garden. Something to keep in mind.

Rain Sprinkles!
Today, we had a few hours of light sprinkles. Yay!
I will have to tend to my garden during the morning now. By the time I get home, it is well into sunset.

Drought!
The last time we had any decent rain around here was October 10. One day, there was a little bit of a T-storm that spit a small amount for us, but other than that we have not had rain.
I planted a number of fall bushes and trees and some herbaceous plants like yarrow, comfrey, and echinacea. Whether those plants will root up well is an open question. The chickens, which free range in the area of the plantings, like the echinacea and comfrey.
Tonight, I saw some flashing lightning in the night sky. Hopefully, we will get a nice downpour tonight to refresh all the plants.
