Shiitake Mushroom Patch

Last weekend, I trimmed our front yard white oak.  I cut the larger branches into four foot length and stacked them about 30 feet into the woods.

The green on the oak is moss that was growing on the branches before I cut them.

Now, I just need to order the spawn and innoculate these logs in about one month from today.  I am putting a date on my Google calendar to remind me.
